This kitchen began as a dining room with one small window on the left side wall. Situated on a hill along a country road, the space promised wooded views and sunlight from both long walls which the homeowners wanted to enjoy in their new kitchen. We placed refrigerator, pantry, and flanking appliance garages on the back wall which faced the neighbors' property. We added 2 6-foot tall windows to cross light the room, a square clearstory window to light the angled ceiling, and a wider plate glass window behind the range.

To achieve an open storage look, we custom fabricated 10 foot long stainless steel shelves above the sink run. The penninsula/prep table/cutting board/island is another custom piece that can be rolled into position for the function of the day.

*This project was completed while at Spyglass Design in Hopewell, NJ.
